The mission of the Press Photographers of the Philippines is to promote fellowship and camaraderie among members globally by professionalizing the photography industry through seminars, trainings, exhibits, among others.  The members of the Press Photographers of the Philippines will uphold the freedom of the press and the dignity of the press photographers' profession.

The National Press Club of the Philippines’ (NPC) primary objective is to uphold the freedom of the press and the dignity of its members, who are composed of journalists, print and broadcast media practitioners and their staff members;

The Dangerous Drugs Board envisions a drug-free Philippines that is safe and prosperous, through a dynamic and responsive partnership between the government and society contributing towards global efforts to eradicate drug abuse.
 
 
 
 
NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS COMMISSION
 
 
            The National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) is a quasi-judicial body, attached to the Department of Labor and Employment for program and policy coordination, which symbolizes the common front organized by government, labor and management to expeditiously resolve labor disputes thru the process of mediation, conciliation and compulsory arbitration. It plays a vital role in the government's program of promoting and maintaining industrial peace thru the speedy dispensation of labor justice and development of effective dispute settlement machinery. 
 
 
 
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

The Department of Education was established through the Education Decree of 1863 as the Superior Commission of Primary Instruction under a Chairman. The Education agency underwent many reorganization efforts in the 20th century in order to better define its purpose vis a vis the changing administrations and charters. The present day Department of Education was eventually mandated through Republic Act 9155, otherwise known as the Governance of Basic Education act of 2001 which establishes the mandate of this agency.
 
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT
 
Social welfare as a basic function of the state was a concept that materialized only after the Second World War, although different groups were undertaking pockets of social work in the first decade of the American occupation in the country. After the war, the Philippine government gradually assumed the major responsibility for social welfare. 
 
 
 
COMMISSION ON ELECTIONS
 
The COMELEC is the principal government agency tasked by the Constitution to enforce and administer all laws and regulations concerning the conduct of regular and special elections. It is a body that is designed to be constitutionally independent from the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government to ensure the conduct of free, fair and honest elections. As an added measure, the constitution also grants fiscal autonomy to enable the COMELEC to operate effectively, efficiently and free from political interference. The constitution mandates that "funds certified by the Commission as necessary to defray the expenses for holding regular and special elections, plebiscites, initiatives, referenda, and recalls, will be provided in the regular or special appropriations and, once approved, will be released automatically upon certification by the Chairman of the Commission."
 
 
BUREAU OF CORRECTIONS
 
The Bureau of Corrections is mandated by law to accomplish its twin objectives - The Effective Rehabilitation and Safekeeping of National Prisoners. Its Mission is to :
1. Safe keep prisoners convicted by courts three (3) years and one (1) day and above to serve sentence in prison.

2. Keep prisoners from committing crimes while in BuCor's custody.
3. Provide inmates basic needs as human being.
4. Ensure rehabilitation programs are made available to the inmates for their physical, intellectual and spiritual development.
5. Develop livelihood programs to assist inmates earn a living and develop their skills while in prison.

 

 

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was established on December 14, 1950 by the United Nations General Assembly. The agency is mandated to lead and co-ordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. Its primary purpose is to safeguard the rights and well-being of refugees. It strives to ensure that everyone can exercise the right to seek asylum and find safe refuge in another State, with the option to return home voluntarily, integrate locally or to resettle in a third country. It also has a mandate to help stateless people.

 

 

The Land Bank of the Philippines is a government financial institution that strikes a balance in fulfilling its social mandate of promoting countryside development while remaining financially viable.  This dual function makes LANDBANK unique. The profits derived from its commercial banking operations are used to finance the Bank's developmental programs and initiatives.

 

TAIWAN LEGAL AID


Funded in 2004, Legal Aid Foundation, Taiwan is a publicly-funded independent statutory organization aiming to provide a comprehensive range of legal aid services to the disadvantaged.

 
 

Ateneo de Manila Law Alumni Association, Inc.

 
To fulfil its purpose of enabling the Ateneo Law School alumni worldwide to communicate and get in touch with each other, the ALAAI has 1) established a Secretariat and staff, 2) continues to promote the formation of ALAAI Alumni chapters in major cities in the Philippines and abroad, 3) established and continuously updates the ALAAI website and other social media accounts such as Facebookand Twitter , and 4) publication and regular updating of the Ateneo Law Alumni Directory.

NATIONAL COMMISSION ON MUSLIM FILIPINOS

 
With the signing of R.A 9997 (otherwise known as the Act Creating the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos) last February 18, 2010, the government has indeed re-affirmed its belief on the importance of the active participation of the Muslim Filipinos in nation building with due regard for their beliefs, customs, traditions, institutions and aspirations.
 
 

PRESIDENTIAL COMMISSION FOR THE URBAN POOR

            Pursuant to Executive Order No.82 dated December 8, 1986, PCUP serves as the direct link of the urban poor to the government in policy formulation and program implementation addressed to their needs.

 

    • To coordinate the speedy implementation of government policies and programs for the poor;
    • To set up a consultative mechanism which shall provide a forum for continuing dialogue between the government and the urban poor on the proper planning and evaluation of programs and projects affecting them;
    • To accredit legitimate urban poor organizations  for  purposes of representation in the formulation of recommendations to the President;
